It was great to see 2007 Doncaster Hcp winner Haradasun breakthrough for his first win on English soil overnight in the Grp 1 Queen Anne Stks over 1600m. He came under a bit of unfair criticism after his debut UK run and has silenced his critics in great fashion. I reckon his success on the racetrack will definitely follow him to the breeding barn. Coolmore Stud, who have a 50% share in the colt, are keen to retire him immediately where he is set to become a lucrative shuttle sire.
And how good is the everlasting Takeover Target? A tremendous run in the Grp 1 King's Stand to finish second last night will top him off nicely for the Grp 1 Golden Jubilee Stks (over a more suitable 1200m) on Saturday. Unfortunately, Magnus failed to make an impression in his final career run and only managed to finish 8th in the same race. |

Unfortunately, Australia's sprinting superstar Takeover Target will return home from the UK after his trainer, Joe Janiak, confirmed that x-rays had shown he had suffered a suspensory ligament tear after he ran a lacklustre fourth to Kingsgate Native at Royal Ascot in the Golden Jubilee Stks. It is understood the racing career of Takeover Target is up in the air and a decision on his future will be made upon his return home.
I think it's time to give the old boy the rest he deserves. He has gone from a $1250 purchase to a mulitple Group 1 winner with over $5 million in prizemoney and has catipulted Joe Janiak from Queanbeyan cabbie to a multiple Group 1 winning, international trainer. |

| Royal Ascot is set to welcome a very strong international team to its ever-popular meeting next month. Four Group One-winning sprinters from Australia are expecting to travel over, with the King's Stand Stakes and Golden Jubilee Stakes on the agenda. |
