After the Godolphin stable won their first major race in Australia, the Caulfield Cup with All The Good, the focus for many stayers now turns to the Melbourne Cup. Traditionally the Caulfield Cup is a great guide to who will run well and possibly win the Melbourne Cup.
I pose the question, out of the Caulfield Cup runs on Saturday who was the most impressive from a Melbourne Cup point of view???
My opinion is the first five across the line (All The Good, Nom Du Jeu, Barbaricus, Mad Rush & Red Ruler) all put in terrific runs and will have a chance in the Melbourne Cup. Of them I think Nom Du Jeu, Mad Rush and Red Ruler were the best runs in terms of a Melbourne Cup trial.
I would like to know what other people think??? |

| hi....as much as I know the Melbourne Cup has again eluded the world's largest racing stable. A winner of the Caulfield Cup only two weeks ago, All the Good, was shaping up as the Dubai-based Godolphin stable's best ever Melbourne Cup prospect. |
